Smart door lock using RFID and Arduino UNO

N.B. if you wanna buy this project, e-mail me at piashpaul100@gmail.com

Description: When the key card is held against the scanner, Arduino uses the gear motor and motor driver to lock the barrel bolt lock. When the card is held again, the Arduino again uses the motor to unlock the barrel bolt lock. The system runs on a 9V battery, and preferably some external power source to run the Arduino. The Arduino can be powered using a battery or a power outlet.

Locking & unlocking: When the right card is held against the sensor the system turns on the green LED to let you know that the card is right. Arduino sends the motor driver signal to let know whether to lock or unlock the system. If it’s to lock, the motor turns the bolt clockwise, making the bolt move rightwards, which locks the barrel bolt lock. To unlock, the motor is rotated counter-clockwise to make the bolt move leftwards, unlocking the barrel bolt lock.

Security features: if a wrong card is pressed against the sensor, the system turns on the red LED and also lets out a beep on the buzzer. If a wrong card is used 5 consecutive times, the red LED stays lit and the buzzer continues to beep to let people know that something is wrong or some thief is trying to get in. the only way to turn the buzzer off again is the use the right key card. Otherwise, the buzzer will continue to beep.

Key: we are using the RFID system to detect the right key. So the key has to be a RFID tag or a RFID card.
